Nine X began in 2009, selling our own designs on Ebay, Amazon, and other online marketplaces, which proved to be a great success, generating lots of sales daily. This is where we continued to solely sell, until 2014, when creator of UK Plus Size Fashion Week, Rianne Ward reached out to our brand, inviting us to show our products on the catwalk at the event in London, where we were introduced to the lovely plus size community. After seeing the obvious lack in the market for plus size lingerie, we decided it was time to broaden our horizons, and create the Nine X website, as well as creating a brand new collection. Thank you Rianne!!!
2015 was a great year for Nine X. Attending British Plus Size Fashion week for the second year running. This year we were also featured in such as Elle, Cosmopolitan, and SLiNK, and were also featured in the French version of 'How To Look Good Naked' TV series. This year we also had the pleasure of collaborating with various plus size bloggers, who were kind enough to review our lingerie on their blogs, and whom still support us today!
At the end of the year Nine X we're nominated by the public for 'Best Lingerie Brand' at the British Plus Size Awards, which we also sponsored, and had the honour of presenting Rianne Ward, and all her team with the award for 'Best Fashion Event' on the night.
In 2016, we continued to expand our collection, building a solid customer base on both our retail, and wholesale site, which was recently created.Nine X introduced garter belts. bodysuits, and suspender strap babydolls for the first time, and also used new fabrics, which included vinyl and venecia. All proving to be very popular with the public, and shops alike.
The later half of the year saw another collection release, and also a second nomination for 'Best Lingerie Brand' the British Plus Size Awards. We also attended Curvy Convention, where we showcased our new range using venecia fabric on the catwalk.Andy Garcia's daughter Alessandra Garcia also wore our lingerie, which in return, featured in various US publications, and TV shows (Thank to Rivkie Weichselbaum from SLiNK magazine!)
2017 looks set to be fantastic year for Nine X, with new collections in progress, and the continuing demand for stock ever increasing, we're confident that our products and brand name will continue to grow as the year progresses.
